The Run By Rebels campaign celebrates Nike’s global running community — highlighting the raw energy, individuality, and culture of local running crews across emerging markets. Each short film captures not just the act of running, but the creative spirit that drives these athletes — rebellion, rhythm, and self-expression in motion.
I led the edit, motion design, and finishing for the campaign’s video series, shaping the tone and personality of the films through pacing, texture, and sound. From concept and visual direction to grading, title design, and audio mix, my focus was on building a visual rhythm that reflected the crews themselves — fast, authentic, and unapologetically real.
The creative approach for Run By Rebels centered around cultural authenticity and visual rhythm. Each crew had its own personality, and the goal was to craft edits that felt as unique as the people featured — avoiding over-produced gloss in favor of texture, spontaneity, and energy.
The edit punctuates moments like a beat in a track, creating movement even when the camera stood still. The color grade emphasized warmth, grit, and the vibrancy of local environments to create an immersive sense of place.
The result was a series that felt personal, cinematic, and alive — a celebration of running as creative rebellion, not just sport.
