This project was designed to make viewers stop mid-scroll and say, “wait — what was THAT?!”
As part of the launch for a game-changing Nike football boot, I was asked to create a rapid-fire montage that captured both the raw energy of the sport and the innovation of the product itself. The goal was to build a visceral, fast-paced piece that felt like the experience of wearing the boot — all power, precision, and pulse.
Nike provided select footage from their Emerging Markets teams, and I handled the edit, color grading, transition effects, and concept for the end tag. Each cut was designed to hit like a heartbeat — blending rhythm, tension, and bursts of controlled chaos. The sequence balanced grit and style, pairing real-world intensity with sleek visual treatment.
A single 3D ball shot was integrated into the cut, and the ominous black pyramid closing shot was crafted by Josh Spivey — a perfect final note to the film’s surreal, high-energy aesthetic.
The piece was built around a single principle: motion as adrenaline. Every frame was engineered for immediacy — tight cuts, flashes of light, and sharp transitions designed to create a near-physical reaction in the viewer.
Color played a crucial role in shaping mood — desaturated neutrals punctuated by electric highlights, mirroring the balance between grounded athleticism and futuristic innovation. The end tag served as both punctuation and mystery — a moment to breathe, question, and remember.
Short, sharp, and impossible to ignore — exactly what a revolution in football footwear deserved.
SUPER COOL UPDATE!!
Apparently the genius and incredibly handsome/beautiful heads of Nike GLOBAL Football think the edit featuring the product is so awesome that they are adding it to their permanent wall on Instagram! Hell yeah.
