Nike DNA

As part of a larger initiative by Nike to showcase the history of sport and their involvement as a key player from more than 50 years, I was brought in to work with my friends at Instrument and created a series (and systems) for the different brand properties they were launching.

This is an ongoing project…I mean, it’s 50 years (!!!) of amazing history and content that Nike is sitting on over there, and most of it is fascinating and inspiring for how integral they were in changing the face of whatever sport they were involved in.

I built animated page headers for their site, little historical vault pieces around specific products, as well as other content display systems around product variations. It was really fun and challenging, and the results look pretty damn cool (totally biased opinion). The elastic grid system I used to navigate through historical ephemera and hide/reveal little moments to showcase some of the more important elements was a unique way to present content, and Nike was super into it. Keep an eye out, this stuff will be constantly posting on the Nike site for quite a while.
